About this project

A member-owned savings and credit cooperative serving smallholder farmers in Teso. Capital raised through FarmPawa is deployed as a structured loan to expand member lending and warehouse receipt financing.

How this project works

  • Your contribution is pooled while fundraising is open, then deployed to an approved SACCO once programme conditions are met.
  • The SACCO lends to members and collects repayments with interest; that servicing drives programme performance.
  • Sponsor returns follow programme terms and actual SACCO repayment performance, not guaranteed fixed payouts.

How does the process work?

  1. FarmPawa identifies SACCOs seeking growth capital.
  2. We evaluate governance, operations, lending performance, repayment history, and management capacity.
  3. We negotiate financing terms with the SACCO.
  4. Approved capital is deployed to the SACCO.
  5. The SACCO lends funds to its members.
  6. Members repay their loans together with interest.
  7. The SACCO repays FarmPawa according to agreed terms.
  8. Sponsors receive returns according to programme terms.

Indicative returns are not guaranteed. While the round is open, your contribution is reserved—not yet deployed. Returns start only after FarmPawa deploys the pool to the SACCO (typically when the goal is met or the funding window ends).
